Drop stitch is a unique stitch that will give your project a wonderful textured look.

Knitted in a multiple of 3 sts + 2 and 6-row repeat.
Row 1 - Wrong side: Knit 2, * purl 1, knit 2; repeat from * to end.
Row 2 - Right side: Purl 2, * knit 1, purl 2; repeat from * to end.
Repeat rows 1-2 once more.
Row 5: Repeat row 1.
Row 6: Purl 2, * pull yarn to back, drop next stitch off the needle and unravel it 4 rows down, so that there are 4 loose strands behind stitch, then insert the right-hand needle from front into 5th stitch down and also under the 4 loose strands, and knit, drawing the stitch up and catching strands behind it, purl 2; rep from * to end.
