Cast on an odd number of sts and 4-row repeat
Row 1 (Right side): K1, * loop st, k2; repeat from * to end.
Row 2: P1, * p1, p2tog; repeat from * to end.
Row 3: K2, * loop st, k2; repeat from * to last st, knit 1.
Row 4: P3, * p2tog, p1; repeat from * to end.

Abbreviations
Loop stitch: Put RH needle between 1st and 2nd sts and draw through a loop, leaving loop on RH needle
Knit: K | Purl: P | Purl 2 sts together: P2tog
